Professional Statement
Why did you become a provider? I wanted to offer people struggling with addiction a place to be understood in order to make conscious decisions about their life.
Why did you decide to join UnityPoint Health - Abbe Center? Abbe Center believes in a harm reduction model that is valuable and rare in this community.
Describe your typical patient: I work with adults seeking help for substance abuse disorders.
What would your patients say about you? I believe patients would say I genuinely care about them and their situations.
How would you describe an ideal provider/patient relationship? One where a patient feels comfortable discussing issues they may not be able to share anywhere else.
What do you like to do in your free time? I love music and being outdoors, fishing, camping, kayaking and hiking. If I'm not near water, I am probably foraging for mushrooms or trying to identify a plant I've never seen before.
