Professional Statement
After medical school at the University of Iowa, Dr. Roewe completed her Pediatric Residency training at the Medical College of Wisconsin and practiced in the Milwaukee area before moving to Dubuque in 2019. With the onset of the COVID pandemic, Dr. Roewe decided to step away from her practice to spend time with her young children. She is now excited to return to practice and join the Grand River Pediatrics team.
Besides her passion for the well-being of children, Dr. Roewe has always been drawn to Pediatrics because of her awe of children's spirit and resilience. She believes Pediatrics is unique within medicine because the provider is always on a team, with their teammates being the parents or caregivers of their patients. Therefore, she is passionate about understanding and caring for children and educating and communicating with families. Outside of work, Dr. Roewe loves spending time with her husband and two young children. They are so happy to have made Dubuque their new home, and can often be found exploring the parks and nature preserves in the area.
