Why did you become a provider?
"I became a CNM due to a lifelong passion in women's health. I grew up with a mom who works in the field of women's health and was always fascinated to hear stories about her day at work. My interest and excitement continued throughout nursing school and motivated me to become a provider. To this day, I still have a passion to be a woman's partner in health throughout her lifetime."

As a provider, what is your medical philosophy?
"It's to make all women who I am blessed to care for seen, known and heard. I strive to empower women on their health and wellness journey."

Why did you choose your specialty?
"I chose midwifery because there is no greater pleasure and honor in life than to be with a woman throughout some of the most vulnerable moments in her life. It is a true gift to provide care to a woman from puberty to her childbearing years and through menopause."

Being a healthcare provider, what drives/motivates you each day?
"As a Christian, I strive to be the hands and feet of the Lord. It is both an honor and privilege to serve His children. Having the opportunity to build a relationship with women throughout the duration of pregnancy, through a difficult gynecologic issue, or for a preventative wellness visit is fulfilling to me."

What is the most important thing patients should know about you and your practice?
"My patients should know I value our relationship and taking the time to ensure they are heard and understood. As a provider, shared decision-making while using evidence-based practice are integral to my practice."
