Rebecca Krewer, MD

How/why did you choose your specialty?
I have always enjoyed interacting with and caring for children. I fell in love with chemistry during high school and during college here at UNI (go Panthers!) I decided to use my science skills to go into medicine. Once I started taking care of patients, it became obvious that pediatrics was the only choice for me because that was where I was happiest and most fulfilled.

What qualities best describe the care you provide for patients?
Friendly, approachable, non-judgmental, personalized, easy communication

What is the most important thing you want patients to know about you and your practice?
I believe children are our future and deserve the best chance to thrive. Providing good medical care is a part of them becoming successful adults. My desire is to form meaningful relationships with children and their caregivers to help them on a path to healthy living and a better future.

Do you have any personal interests you would like to share?
I love dancing, fantasy/sci-fi/adventure in TV, books and movies, as well as animals (especially kitty cats), baking and cooking.
