Ravi Vemulapalli, MD

Dr. Ravi Vemulapalli (Dr. Ravi) is board certified as a gastroenterologist. He has practiced in Central Iowa since 1998 with a special interest in hepatology.

Dr. Ravi was born and raised in India. Following college, Dr. Ravi received his medical degree at the University of New York Medical School. Upon completion of medical school he completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of New York and continued his hospital appointments in Buffalo, NY. In 1998 he was appointed to UnityPoint and Mercy hospitals.

Dr. Ravi is honored to have joined the medical team at Iowa Digestive Disease Center as it provides him the opportunity to apply his knowledge and skills in service to the community.

He and his wife, Dr. Makkapati, enjoy spending time with their children, golfing and photography.
