Professional Statement
Born in Kashmir, Dr. Subla knew early on that medicine was his passion. Growing up, he went with his mother to cardiology appointments as she dealt with heart palpitations, sparking his interest in the field.
"I always thought the EKGs were interesting," says Dr. Subla. "That's kind of when I knew."
Now an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Subla is quadruple board-certified in internal medicine, critical care medicine, cardiology, and interventional cardiology. He has completed fellowships in heart failure at Cleveland Clinic, cardiovascular disease at Mayo Clinic, and interventional cardiology at Duke University Hospital.
Dr. Subla wants his patients to feel safe and know that he will do everything in his power to give them the best care possible.
"Every patient I see is educational and a little bit different," he says. "It's interesting to meet a new patient with the same disease but different symptoms and presentations—and then figure out their course of treatment. When I'm able to help them and see relief for both the patient and their family, that's really satisfying."
