Professional Statement
Why did you become a physician/provider? I became a provider so I would have the opportunity to make a difference in other people’s lives. Having a chronic illness has allowed me to be “the patient” and see how healthcare providers can influence the situation. I will strive each day to be the provider that makes each patient’s healthcare experience the best it can be.
What qualities best describe the care you provide to your patients? My strongest quality as a provider is also being an educator. I am continuously educating my patients while providing care. Other qualities I value and possess are empathy, respect, good communication skills, and attention to detail.
What would you like your patients to know about you? I would like each one of my patients to know that we are a team. My role as the provider is to make suggestions and recommendations, but as the patient, you must take control of your health as well. If we work together, we can make a difference.
