Karissa Walker, DNP, ARNP, PNP

Karissa became a pediatric nurse practitioner, because she loves working with children. Working as a nurse within the pediatric intensive care unit, she was able to witness the bravery and resiliency children possess during an illness or injury and that there is always something that can be learned from them. Becoming a nurse practitioner allowed her to advocate and play a vital role in children and adolescents’ health and wellbeing. Furthermore, she enjoys getting to know her patients and their families and provide support and education as they grow and develop throughout childhood and adolescence.
