Jennifer Svendsen, PT, DPT, ATC

In my early years, I spent a great deal of time in physical therapy for my own knee issues. I became interested in physical therapy because I wanted to help others as much as my physical therapists had helped me. I pursued this interest through a degree in Athletic Training in 2003 from St. Ambrose University, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa in 2005. I have enjoyed working for St. Luke's since 2006. I have completed additional training in Mckenzie Method, Mulligan Method, PNF, When the Foot Hits the Ground Biomechanical Analysis, and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. I attend the University of Iowa Sports Medicine Symposium every year to update my skills and knowledge. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, hiking, and supporting my four kids at their sporting events.
