Professional Statement
Why did you become a provider? I became a provider to offer patients the same supportive, trusting relationship I was fortunate to experience growing up. Having a consistent and caring primary care provider made a lasting impact on my life, and I strive to be that reliable teammate in my patients' health journeys.
Describe your typical patient: I typically see patients ages 18-65, but I welcome individuals of all ages, from newborns to older adults. Many of my patients are focused on preventing future illness or managing current conditions to avoid future complications.
What would your patients say about you? I am passionate, determined and hard-working.
Most important things to know about you: I follow evidence-based care, and I am here to be a partner in my patients' health, to ensure they have a say in the care they receive.
How would you describe the ideal provider/patient relationship? My hope is patients are willing to listen to the advice I offer, and in-turn, give input on what they would like to do with their care; both respecting each others viewpoints.
What do you like to do in your free time? In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my wife and son. I like to be outdoors whenever I can, especially for golfing and fishing. I also enjoy tackling home projects and learning new skills through YouTube — there’s always something new to try or fix around the house.
Notable ties to the region: I was born in eastern Iowa and have been in the Corridor for the entirety of my secondary training and beyond. I am a lifelong Iowan.
Describe your family: I have an amazing wife who works as a nurse and a son who we enjoy watching grow up.
Procedures: Nexplanons, IUDs, toenail removal, laceration repair, skin procedures, knee and shoulder joint injections
