Emily Gearhart, MSW

Emily Gearhart, LISW is a licensed Independent social worker. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa. She is an Intake Therapist at the Eyerly Ball Community Mental Health Center. Emily has clinical experience in outpatient therapy and school based mental health therapy. Emily has specific clinical experience and training in the treatment of anxiety, depression, emotional regulation and trauma. She primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Most of Emily's clinical work has been with children, adolescents and families, however, Emily accepts adult patients as well. She enjoys forming therapeutic relationships with her clients while using a strength based approach.
