Professional Statement
Dr. Stover chose to become a pediatrician and a primary care sports medicine physician because he sees potential in everyone.
As a board-certified general pediatrician, Dr. Stover's goal is to help all of his patients lead healthy and fulfilling lives. In his general pediatrics practice, he sees all primary care needs for newborns through age 18. Dr. Stover enjoys continuity of care with patients and families. It allows him to get to know them personally and become an expert in their specific medical needs.
After pediatrics training, he decided to pursue a 1-year fellowship in primary care sports medicine. During fellowship, he had opportunities to work with high school athletes, Division 1 NCAA athletes (Northwestern University in Evanston, IL), and world class mass events (Chicago Marathon). As a certified sports medicine provider, his passion is to work alongside patients and help them achieve their activity goals. In his sports medicine clinic, he specializes in the non-surgical management of musculoskeletal problems, sports performance, training advice, sports nutrition, and concussion.
